Wide trail with a gentle gradient smooth surface. Some obstacles such as roots, logs and rocks. Suitable for beginner cyclists with basic mountain bike skills, and off-road bikes.

Likely to be single track with a moderate gradient, variable surface and some obstacles. Some obstacles such as roots, logs and rocks. Suitable for mountain bikers with mountain bikes.

Single trail with moderate gradients, variable surface and obstacles. May include steep sections. Suitable for skilled mountain bikers with mountain bikes.

Suitable for competent mountain bikers, used to physically demanding routes. Expect large and unavoidable obstacles and features. Challenging and variable with some steep climbs or descents and loose surfaces.

Suitable for experienced mountain bikers, used to physically demanding routes. Navigation and personal survival skills are highly desirable. Expect large, dangerous and unavoidable obstacles and features. Challenging and variable with long steep climbs or descents and loose surfaces Some sections will be easier to walk.
Extreme
Suitable for highly experienced mountain bikers, used to physically demanding routes. Navigation and personal survival skills are highly desirable. Severe constructed trails and/ or natural features, all sections are challenging. Includes extreme levels of exposure and /or risk. Expect large and unavoidable obstacles and features. Some sections will be easier to walk.
THE PLAYGROUND
The gateway zone from the main trailhead, it's been designed to provide a broad range of trails and features likely to be encountered in the broader trail network. Whether a novice or experienced rider, it's ideal to learn to progress your skills.

The trails can be ridden directly from the trailhead by climbing 'Kick Start' and onto either the easier but longer 'Witness the Fitness' climb, or shorter but steeper 'Return to Earn' climb.
​
Trails in this zone can be self-shuttled by vehicle to the drop off point via Mitchells Ridge Road.

The Playground Trails
Kick Start - XC •
The gateway to the network. A quick connection to the Gravity Zone, or divert onto ‘Witness the Fitness’ Trail to access the Northern Zone Trails. Caution section between bridge crossings is a dual direction trail. Beware of oncoming riders.
Shredtopia - XC Flow Skills •
Ideal beginner descending trail to learn the basics of single track riding before progressing to other trails. Lower section near Mitchells Ridge trailhead can be ridden as a stand-alone skills trail loop in combination with the first section of the ‘Kick Start’ Trail. This trail is accessible by vehicle shuttle from the Northern Zone Drop off point.

Witness the Fitness - XC Climb •
Provides easy riding access to the Northern Zone trails from Mitchells Ridge trailhead via the lower section of the ‘Kick Start’ trail.
​
Multi Pass - XC Dual Direction •
Trail connects Northern Zone to wider trail network via a bridge crossing over Lawler's Creek. Caution this is a dual direction trail. Beware of oncoming riders.
​
Master of my Domain - XC Climb ••
Combine with ‘Bridge it’ for an undulating and snaking climb from Gravity and Wilderness Zones back to the top of the Northern Zone, or as a loop with ‘Pink Python’ and ‘Devil’s Ballzac’ trails.

Thrill Hill - Technical Skills •
Timber features and obstacles designed to build technical riding skills needed on the wider trail network.

Thunder Birds are go - Flow Jump •
Introduction to jumps with easy and approachable / rollable jumps designed to cater for intermediate riders. Several jumps have optional lines to progress skills before progressing to the Gravity Zone Trails. This trail is accessible by vehicle shuttle from the Northern Zone Drop off point.

Puffy Horse - Flow •
Intermediate fast natural flow trail through dense vegetation. This trail is accessible via ‘Kick Start’ or ‘Return to Earn’ when climbing, or from ‘Shredtopia’ when descending.
​
Gnarooma - Free Ride Technical •
A mixture of speed and technical / off camber trail and natural features throughout the trail. This trail is accessible by vehicle shuttle from the Northern Zone Drop off point.

Twitching Whisker - Flow •
Open and fast with large radius berms and rollers. Combines with ‘Multipass’ to provide a connection from the upper Northern Zone to the wider trail network. This trail is accessible by vehicle shuttle from the Northern Zone Drop off point.

Return to Earn - XC Climb •
Steeper but direct climb back to the midpoint of the Northern Zone from Mitchells Ridge trailhead via the ‘Kick Start’ trail. Combine with the upper section of ‘Witness the Fitness’ trail for quicker riding access to the top of the Northern Zone.

The Quantum - Skills Jump •
Rollable intermediate to advanced jumps designed to build on existing jump skills before taking on the harder Gravity Zone Trails. Caution this trail is for advanced riders only, please inspect trail before attempting any features. Always ride within your limits.

Dalmeniac - Free Ride Technical •
Tight and technical with numerous off camber and natural features. This trail is accessible off the midpoint road section of ‘Full Force’ Trail.

Full Force - Technical •
Mixture of speed and tight technical natural hand-built trail and features, some with multiple line options. This trail is accessible shortly after the start of the ‘Dalmeniac’ trail. Caution this trail is for advanced riders only, please inspect trail before attempting any features, and ride within your limits.

Devils Ballzac - Extremely Technical ••
A steep and technical trail through natural rock features with chutes, drops and multiple lines throughout. This trail is accessible by vehicle shuttle from the Northern Zone Drop off point. THE GRAVITY
ZONE
This area is made up of several descending trails varying from easy to advanced but it is recommended for riders with some MTB experience and skill.
The trails 'Spaghetti Legs' and 'No Soup of You' on the outer edges provide climbing options from 'Lawler's Creek' back to the top or via the shuttle service depending on availability.

From the main trailhead the trails can be accessed via 'Kick Start'. Trails in this zone can be shuttled by Southbound Escapes. Please visit southboundescapes.com to make a booking.

The Gravity Zone Trails
No Soup for You - XC Climb •
Easier climb located at the western end of the Gravity zone. Gentle grade with numerous switchbacks takes you past all descending trails in the zone.
Back to the Future - XC •
Traversing dual direction trail that joins the Red Knob trailhead to the Gravity zone. Caution this is a dual direction trail. Beware of oncoming riders.

Pythons Path - XC Climb •
A forest road that forms the climbing connection in this area of the Gravity Zone.

Orange Ocelot - XC Dual Direction •
A hand built easy single-track connection from Gravity zone to ‘Pythons Path’.

Willy Wossell - Flow ••
Hand built easy flowing descending trail with small berms, small jumps and log rollers.
​
Lyrebird Lane - XC Climb ••
A hand-built switch backing top section of the climb which connects ‘Pythons Path’ to the Red Knob trailhead.
​
Berm-a-gooey - Flow ••
Short connecting trail that joins the wilderness zone and the eastern to western end of the Gravity zone and onto Red Knob trailhead via ‘Back to the Future’ trail.

Humpback - Flow Jump ••
Progressive jumps and berms for skill development. Accessed via ‘The Whale Tail’ trail, it connects into the lower section of ‘I Love Steve’ trail.

The Whale Tail - Flow ••
The easiest descending trail in the Gravity Zone. Designed for cruising or to gain skills in berms and flow trail riding before progressing to other trails in the Gravity Zone.
​
Sir Wax A Lot - Flow ••
Large sweeping berms and rollable trail features designed for beginner to intermediate riders to progress skills in gravity riding before attempting more difficult trails in this zone.
​
Spaghetti Legs - XC Climb •
Steeper but direct climb on the eastern end of the Gravity Zone to create riding loops within this zone. Quickest access from Mitchell Ridge trailhead to wider trail network when combined with ‘Kick Start’ trail.
​
I Love Steve - All Mountain Flow •
Intermediate free ride / jumps trail. Smaller features of this trail are ideal for progressing the skills needed for harder jump and flow trails in the Gravity Zone.

Thomas the Jank Engine - Technical All Mountain •
More natural style intermediate trail with off camber sections, jumps and smaller berms to hone your technical riding skills.

Big Ass Flies - Flow •
Hand built flowy descending trail with numerous small jumps, drop and berms.

Chilli & Lime - Technical Flow Jump •
Undulating but steep trail with large berms and numerous jumps, drops and optional lines throughout to progress technical and jumping skills before attempting advanced trails. Caution this trail is for intermediate to advanced riders only, please inspect trail before attempting any features. Always ride within your limits.

Colonel Senders - Flow Jump •
Designed to minimise pedalling and braking, this trail is a wide and open flow trail with intermediate to large rollable jumps and berms. Many jumps have optional lines for safe skills progression towards advanced trails. Goodbye Gravity - Flow Jump Advanced ••

THE WILDERNESS
ZONE
This area is designed for cross-country riders and those looking for a longer adventure, where numerous trails can be connected in varying order to create looped experiences.
The trails are rated from green to black and are generally more natural in style and setting. Easier, more hand built trails are found on the western side, with the more challenging trails located on the eastern side of the Wilderness Zone.

This area can be accessed by linking 'Kick Start', 'Lawlers Creek', 'No Soup for You' and 'Back to the Future' or by linking 'Witness the Fitness', 'Twitching Whisker', 'Multipass', 'Orange Ocelot', 'Pythons Path' and 'Lyrebird Lane'.

Box Cutter - XC •
Hand built easy undulating trail that connects from ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘Millhouse’ to ‘Space Nodule’.
Old Scenic Drive - Dual Direction Trail •
Closed section of road which connects from ‘One Week in Bangkok’/’Shakey Goanna’ intersection to ‘Happy Birthday’. Two-way trail has some water bar rollovers and roll through culverts with wooden bridge. Caution this is a dual direction trail. Beware of oncoming riders.

Lawler's Creek - XC Connector Trail Dual Direction •
Open and wider two-way trail that provides the lower connection of all trails in the Gravity Zone, and the connection to / from the Northern Zone. Caution this is a dual direction trail. Beware of oncoming riders

Fatheads Trail - XC Dual Direction ••
Connecting trail that opens up different options and combinations when riding the wilderness zone. Caution this is a dual direction trail. Beware of oncoming riders.

One Week in Bangkok - XC ••
Hand built, undulating trail that connects and provides a loop from ‘Shakey Goanna’ to ‘Tasty Possum’.

Tasty Possum - XC ••
Hand built cross country style trail undulating with switchbacks connecting ‘One week in Bangkok’ back to the Red Knob trailhead.
​
Space Nodule - XC ••
Hand built trail connects from ‘Box Cutter’ and traverses across to the start of ‘Snordle’ Contains some switchbacks and small log rollovers.
​
Seven to Two - XC ••
Hand built trail with berms, log rollover, small jumps, connecting to ‘Re-Group’.
​
Re-Group - XC ••
Hand built trail with berms and gully roll throughs, connects to ‘Kents’ or return to top via ‘Happy Birthday’.
​
Spring Creek - XC Connector Trail ••
Open and wider two-way trail that provides the start / end point for most wilderness trails, and connects the wilderness zone to the Gravity zone. Caution this is a dual direction trail. Beware of oncoming riders.

Walbunja Whipbird - All Mountain Descent •
The entry trail into the eastern wilderness zone, it’s a mixture of medium size berms and technical off camber and natural rock garden sections. Optional lines at the midpoint section contain large natural rock chutes and drops. Caution optional sections of this trail are for intermediate to advanced riders only, please inspect trail before attempting any features. Always ride within your limits.

Matt Devo’s Descent - All Mountain Descent •
A gentle start to this trail before entering numerous natural rock gardens and small drops combined with off camber trail sections.
​
Save the Frog - All Mountain Adventure •
Combination of a flowing descent with long radius berms and several dry gully crossings down to a larger bridge crossing, followed by an initially steep climb back out to the top of the gravity zone.
​
Down the Toilet - Technical Flow •
Fast and technical descent with jumps, off camber trail and snaking berms.
​
Pineapple Tree Highway - Adventure •
An easy climb from ‘Spring Creek’ trail connects you to other wilderness trails, or continue the loop for a combination of fast and flowing traverses and tight berm filled descents back to ‘Spring Creek’.
​
Ratticus Finch - XC •
Hand built descending trail with small drop and gap jump features, connects to ‘Kents’ – beware merging trail!
​
Kents - XC •
Hand built singletrack that starts from end of ‘Re-Group’ with rocky crossings, switchback climbs flowing into berms and roll over wooden bridges. Connects to ‘One week in Bangkok’ within varying terrain and environment.

Happy Birthday - XC Climb •
Up trail containing 17 switchbacks.
​
Millhouse - Adventure •
Hand built single track that has varying terrain and environment containing wooden bridges.
​
Snordle - Flow •
Hand built longer flowing descending trail in the area with small rock gardens, numerous small jumps and berms.
​
Shakey Goanna - XC Technical •
Hand built trail descends through a berms section, down into a picturesque creek section. Contains small rock gardens. Connects ‘Snordle’ to return climbing trail ‘One week in Bangkok’.
​
Fairyland - All Mountain Climb •
A challenging but gradual climb from ‘Spring Creek’. Numerous tight berms at the bottom lead into a mid-section full of amazing natural rock outcrops, before a gentle cruise to the top.
