Narooma is part of the Eurobodalla Shire and is approximately 4.5 hours south of Sydney and 3 hours south east of Canberra. It is known for its coastal scenery, beautiful beaches and marine life. The town is situated on the Wagonga Inlet, which is popular for boating and fishing. Attractions in and around Narooma include:

Barunguba Montague Island: Located 9km offshore which is home to a large population of fur seals, penguins and seabird species.

Australia Rock: A natural rock formation resembling a map of Australia, which is located near the Narooma Breakwall where seals can be seen.

Glasshouse Rocks: These unique rock formations are located just south of Surf Beach.
