Welcome to Narooma

Fern Leaves

The Narooma Mountain Bike Club is a volunteer organization that was established in 2019 right before the Black Summer Bushfires and the Covid pandemic. We were very grateful to be given a permit from Forestry Corporation NSW to have trails in the Bodalla State Forest.

The Club worked at applying for grants and we were successful in receiving $4.3million dollars as part of the Federal and NSW State Governments Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund. As a result of the funding and also the hard work of our volunteers we now have 85kms of machine and hand built trails.

We are all volunteers maintaining these trails so any help either financial or physical is always appreciated.

  • Are the MTB trails free to ride?
    Yes they are!
  • Can I purchase food and drinks at the trailhead?
On weekends and holidays the kiosk is attended by volunteers of the Narooma Mountain Bike Club. Depending on the time of year the kiosk offers a BBQ with snag or rissole sandwiches, snacks eg. bars, chips and drinks (Sodas, Gatorade or Water). During busy periods, hamburgers, veggie burgers and other BBQ items are also available. The kiosk also sells Narooma MTB Trails merchandise. It’s the only merchandise that fully supports the trail network and goes back to maintenance and it’s only available here or on the SHOP page of this website.
  • Where are the trails?
The main trail head is on the corner of Mitchels Ridge Road and the Princes Highway, just north of Dalmeny. Approximately 10 mins drive from the township of Narooma.
  • How do I become a Narooma MTB Club member?
To be a member of Narooma Mountain Bike Club, you must have a current membership with AusCycling. AusCycling is the National Organisation overseeing our club. Please see the AusCycling website.
